All our courses are suitable for novices or more experienced artists. ArtsLink tutors are all experienced teachers as well as practising artists in their own right. Open Studio 2: Exploring Media

This is an opportunity to paint in any media (water/oil/mixed etc) in a friendly and constructive environment.  All students welcome, beginners and the more experienced alike, to use these sessions to hone skills such as the use of colour, composition, space, form and content. Alden will help you develop your own painting identity and language as an artist. Experimentation is encouraged!

Working From Life Group
Untutored Class

A great opportunity to work in any media from a life model. A different model will pose each week.  All abilities are welcome to join this friendly  and mutally supportive group. 

Introduction to Painting in Oils

A Course for beginners in painting in oils, for those with little or no experience. The course will explore different techniques from the old masters to contemporary ideas.

Offers students the opportunity to come and develop their skills and techniques in Watercolour in this progressive programme with our well respected and popular tutor, Alden Roberts.

Suitable for all abilities. By the end of the course beginners will have learnt basic techniques for working with their chosen metal. Concentrating on soldering, sawing, forming, colouring and simple stone settings, this course will inspire students to develop their own original designs.

Art Appreciation
Tutor: Julian Halsby

Julian Halsby will examine the artists and movements in the context of contemporary influences, society and their impact of those who followed. Each session will be illustrated.
