Autumn Term Courses

All our courses are suitable for novices or more experienced artists. Artslink tutors are all experienced teachers as well as practising artists in their own right.When you book a course, your confirmaton will include a list of materials you will need to bring. Open Studio. Tutor: Alden Roberts

Venue:The Digby Hall, Hound Street, Sherborne. Mondays, from 22 September. 9.30–12.00. 10 sessions.

A friendly and creative environment in which to develop your skills in any medium you choose, drawing or painting. The course will investigate landscapes and will be themed using Monet, Corot and Cezanne as springboards to learning. Any ability welcome! Alden will be on hand to help and advise. You willl need to bring your own materials.

Life Drawing. Tutor: Sara Videan

Venue:Church Hall, Digby Road, Sherborne.Tuesdays From 15 April 2008. 10.00-12.30. 10 sessions.

Improve your perception of the human figure. Develop your individual style and skills in pencil, pen, ink and charcoal. This mixed ability class will provide a wide variety of models throughout the term.

First Steps in Watercolour Tutor: Alden Roberts

Venue: The Digby Hall, Hound Street, Sherborne.

Tuesdays, from 23 September. 13.30–16.00. 10 sessions.

A new course for complete beginners introducing the basics to help students become confident in using a wide variety of watercolour techniques.

Jewellery. Tutor: Jane Crockett.

 A 10 week course for all abilities. By the end of the course beginners will have learnt basic techniques for working with   their  chosen metal. Concentrating on soldering, sawing,forming, colouring and simple stone settings, this course will inspire  students to develop their own original designs.

A maximum of 8 students.£205.( Non-members £229) + materials (approx £5 at first, depending on what materials you decide to use)
