Painting Workshops When you book a workshop, your confirmation will include a list of materials you will need to bring. If you would like to know what materials are required before making a booking, please call us. Three Watercolour Workshops with Jake Winkle. Venue: The Digby Hall, Hound Street. All workshops run from 10.30-16.00. Thursday 27 September: Figures and Animals. Thursday 1 November: Using Colour Thursday 15 November: Winter Landscape. Three Masterclasses with fantastic tutor and watercolourist Jake. Book all three and recieve a discounted rate. £30 (Non-members £35) a day. Book three workshops and save £10. £80 (£95) for three.
Botanical Watercolour Painting Workshop with Simon Williams Thursday 2 and Friday 3 October. 10.30-16.30 Venue: The Digby Hall, Hound Street Sherborne. Learn the skills necessary to illustrate botanical subjects successfully in gouache. Simon Williams will demonstrate skills and give you plenty of individual help to practice the techniques. Feel free to bring your own subjects for painting and there will be plant material provided.The course is set out for all levels but to be patient and want to produce a realistic illustration is an advantage as this course will not involve a loose style of painting.

Craft Workshops Clay Animal Sculpture with Pippa Hill Saturday 11 October. 9.30-16.00 Venue: The Digby Hall, Hound Street, Sherborne. An opportunity to learn the techniques of ceramic sculpture with renowned ceramic artist Pippa Hill. Using a clay which fires to a warm toasted brown she will show students how to create a simple sculpture using basic handbuilding techniques. Bisque firing included and glaze firing available for an additional charge. £40 (£45 non-members)
Natural Christmas Decorations with Izzy Beasley Saturday 22 November. 10.30-16.00 Venue: The Digby Hall, Hound Street, Sherborne. Enjoy discovering the versatility of willow and hedgerow materials to make beautiful and unique Christmas decorations. Learn a range of techniques and take home inspired items and ideas for the festive season.£40 (£45 non-members)
Stained Glass Christmas Decorations with Nina Gronw-Lewis Venue: The Digby Hall, Hound Street. Saturday 6 December. 10.30-16.00 Artist and maker Nina Gronw-Lewis will show you how to make beautiful stained glass decorations in your festive home using the copper foil technique. £30 (non-members £35) |
