Botanical Watercolour Painting Workshop with Simon Williams
Thursday 2 and Friday 3 October. 10.30-16.30
Venue: The Digby Hall, Hound Street Sherborne.
Learn the skills necessary to illustrate botanical subjects successfully in gouache. Simon Williams will demonstrate skills and give you plenty of individual help to practice the techniques. Feel free to bring your own subjects for painting and there will be plant material provided.The course is set out for all levels but to be patient and want to produce a realistic illustration is an advantage as this course will not involve a loose style of painting.

Clay Animal Sculpture with Pippa Hill

Venue: The Digby Hall, Hound Street, Sherborne.
An opportunity to learn the techniques of ceramic sculpture with renowned ceramic artist Pippa Hill. Using a clay which fires to a warm toasted brown she will show students how to create a simple sculpture using basic handbuilding techniques. Bisque firing included and glaze firing available for an additional charge.
